Davie, FL " The Darrell Gwynn Foundation to Cure Paralysis " a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing paralysis when possible, providing support for individual's living with paralysis and ultimately finding a cure for paralysis , has named two new members to its Board of Directors:  Reg Kenney and James Finch.


"Reg and James each have a wealth of management experience, a strong desire to help those with paralysis and a love of racing that makes them an excellent fit for our Board," said Darrell Gwynn, founder of the Darrell Gwynn Foundation (DGF).  "We are proud to welcome them to the team."

Gwynn is a former racecar driver who was paralyzed as a result of an injury that occurred during a 1990 test run in England.  Much of DGF's activities have a motor sports theme, such as its annual Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Hot Rods & Reels", charity fishing tournament.

J.R.,Reg, Kenney is Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, North America for DHL Global Forwarding, where he manages the division's $3.2 billion logistics business.  A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Kenney is a 32-year veteran of the transportation and logistics industry. He is also an avid and enthusiastic motor sports fan, and has been associated with the Darrell Gwynn Foundation for the past six months.  Kenney has been a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals since 1999, and is also a past member of the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association.


James Finch is the owner of Phoenix Construction Services, Inc., a successful general contractor based in Lynn Haven, Florida, specializing in industrial construction of airports, roads, bridges and wastewater treatment centers.  He is also the owner of Phoenix Racing, racing two full-time NASCAR Busch Teams and a part-time NASCAR Cup team.  He has been involved with Darrell Gwynn and the foundation for the past few years.

The Darrell Gwynn Foundation (DGF) exists to prevent, provide for and ultimately cure spinal cord injuries and other debilitating illnesses. The foundation works to help improve the quality of life for those already afflicted with injury or illness, by providing necessary equipment or special services.  To expedite specific cures, the foundation assists in the funding of targeted research.  It is also dedicated to injury prevention, with special emphasis on programs targeting children.  Visit the DGF online at www.darrellgwynnfoundation.org.
