Myles Kovas, president of DUB Magazine.
Gwynn, a former National Hot Rod
Association (NHRA) star who is paralyzed from a 1990 racing
accident, created the Foundation in 2002 to provide wheelchairs
to children and young adults and advocate for people with spinal
cord injuries and other debilitating illnesses. The Foundation
is an official charity of Barrett-Jackson.
In conjunction with the auction of DUB
Magazine Lincoln MKZ, the Foundation will present a new
custom, power wheelchair to a 15-year-old boy from the Las Vegas
area with cerebral palsy. Mason Partee needs the motorized chair
to move about more easily in his neighborhood and school.
The agency has donated more than 50
wheelchairs at racing, fishing, car auctions, and other events,
as well as when needs arise throughout the year.
