2006 Palm Beach Barrett-Jackson
Gala Raises $29,000 to Benefit the Darrell Gwynn Foundation
Palm Beach,
March 29, 2006
The 2006 Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction kicked off this year's Florida
event with an elegant Gala which benefited the Darrell Gwynn Foundation and John
Walsh's National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The evening was a
night to remember as tables were adorned with crimson red roses and a rockin'
live band played to a packed house. The energized crowd danced and dined on
classic buffet-style local fare.
The evening culminated in a live auction which included donated
items such as tickets to the "Barrett-Jackson Experience" in Scottsdale, tickets
to the 2007 Super Bowl to be held in Miami, and a weekend of NASCAR racing
excitement at this year's Ford Championship weekend in Homestead Florida. A host
of silent auction items were also sold to the highest bidders.
This year's event raised $29,000 to benefit the Darrell Gwynn
Foundation (DGF).
"Tonight is another great night for the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.
We thank Craig Jackson and the entire staff at Barrett-Jackson for their
continued commitment to all that our organization stands for. We look forward to
many more exciting Barrett-Jackson moments in years to come," said DGF President
Darrell Gwynn.
