RUNNING OF DAYTONA 500 DONATED TO DARRELL GWYNN FOUNDATION
Special watercraft to be auctioned
at Barrett-Jackson for the benefit of theDarrell Gwynn
Foundation
Davie, FL: The
Darrell Gwynn Foundation (DGF) announced Eliminator Boats has
generously donated a commemorative craft celebrating the 50th
running of the Daytona 500 to its organization. This
one-of-a-kind boat will be signed by all the starting drivers of
the 2008 Daytona 500
NASCAR
Sprint Cup
Series
race and will then be auctioned off at the
Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction event in West Palm Beach, with 100%
of the proceeds benefiting DGF.

This incredible boat
will be on display at DGF’s Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Hot Rods
and Reels Charity Fishing Tournament at Daytona International
Speedway’s
Lake Lloyd on
February 15th, where many of the drivers will be
on-hand to sign it. After its tour at the Speedway, it then
immediately heads south to West Palm Beach for its auction just
over a month later.
“Our heartfelt
appreciation goes out to Eliminator Boats for offering this
unique and unexpected donation to our mission,” said Darrell
Gwynn, founder and president of DGF. “This boat will create a
massive buzz as it first enjoys the waters at Daytona
International Speedway’s Lake Lloyd and then again when it hits
the stage at the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction event. It will be
a must-have for any NASCAR and boating enthusiast, who can know
they are also supporting a worthy cause.”
The 27’ Daytona boat
was created to capture and reflect the excitement that has long
been associated with the iconic Daytona 500 race. Designed with
Eliminator’s signature style and packed with numerous upgrades,
the commemorative watercraft embodies speed, elegance, grandeur
and fun. Eliminator Daytona was named the Official Recreational
Power Boat of the Daytona International Speedway. It seats six,
weighs 4,500 pounds and is powered by an Ilmor Engineering Viper
V10 that produces 625 horsepower and 600 torque. The boat is
26’10” long with a 100” beam, with custom upholstery and custom
gel coat graphics specially designed to incorporate the details
of the 50th Daytona 500 logo.
“We are delighted to
be an integral part of the Daytona 500 and the important work
that DGF spearheads,” said Brett Seber of Eliminator Boats.
“Our 30-history has always been rich with supporting important
causes, and this is a natural fit.”
The boat is estimated
to be worth more than $250,000. Officials anticipate the
bidding at Barrett-Jackson to be brisk for a boat with this
pedigree.
Eliminator Boats is a

itself on having one of the most aggressive and ambitious new
